About the programme
Homeoprophylaxis
A prophylaxis program for common childhood illnesses.
The use of homeopathic remedies for the treatment of epidemic illnesses dates to 1800, when the founder of Homeopathy Samuel Hahnemann used Belladonna for the preventative treatment of scarlet fever.
Since then, this work has become more sophisticated and refined, and there are numerous examples of the use of homeoprophylaxis in severe epidemic outbreaks. Of interest is the strong statistical evidence to support the efficacy of this approach in several large-scale applications, namely meningococcal disease in Brazil (18 000 people protected) and leptospirosis in Cuba (2.3 million people protected).
In my practice, on a more modest level, I offer a prophylaxis program for common childhood illnesses. The protocol I use is based on the work of Dr. Isaac Golden, who has practiced this technique since 1986. His statistical analysis and long-term follow-up studies demonstrate the efficacy of this approach.
It is an easy-to-follow schedule with clear guidelines. Parents are strongly encouraged to educate themselves about the common infectious childhood illness, their risks and treatments.
