PresentChild® Method

A family sharing a joyful moment together, illustrating the PresentChild method

The PresentChild® method was developed by Dutch homeopath, Janita Venema, and is often referred to as PresentChild translation. The express purpose of the method is to find solutions to health problems in children, whether physical, behavioural or emotional.

Central to the method is the concept that our children, through their behaviour or illness, present us with a message.

Through the process of translation, we as parents can gain an indisputable understanding of these messages. Once they are integrated and addressed within ourselves, a deep and direct healing can be achieved for our children. We then as parents become the solution to our children's problems.

Two ways of engaging

One-on-One

An in-depth process comprising three sessions:

  1. 1In the first session the parent relates the problem that the child has to the translator. The translator takes this narrative and translates it into the parent's inner world.
  2. 2The second session is a feedback session where the translation is shared with the parent so that they can gain an understanding of the message that their child holds for them.
  3. 3The third session is an assessment of the outcomes.

Parent Workshops

These are half-day events with 6 participants. The workshop covers basic principles as well as an opportunity to do some translation work so that each participant gets a personal insight. It is intended for people who want to explore the method without jumping into an in-depth translation.

If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.
